Meet Jered Scott

Braswell Family Spotlight

Introducing Jered Scott, our Farm Manager at our pullet farm a few miles north from our home office in Nashville, NC. Jered ensures that our pullets, or baby hens, are given a safe, healthy atmosphere for living so they can grow into fertile hens to produce the best eggs for our customers.

Jered has been a family member at Braswell Family Farms for 20 years and began his career here in our distribution facility. He was promoted to a feed truck loader and then to the corn shed operator, where he received all the corn for our feed and inspected it to ensure it was safe for our hens.

Jered says he thoroughly enjoyed each position he held and that each one taught him a new facet of the business, which he attributes to his success in his current role. He also thanks his mentor, Bobby Scott, who has been a Braswell family member for 55 years. Jered says that Bobby is like a father to him and taught him everything he knows. 

When Jered isn't looking after our pullets, he enjoys gardening, hunting, and fishing. What's one thing you can be sure to find in his garden? Fresh tomatoes!

And as for his Braswell Family Farms eggs, Jered enjoys them scrambled with hoop cheese - a southern classic!
