Position Summary
The position is responsible for supporting the efforts of the sales team and marketing vendor partners to carry out marketing campaigns. The Marketing Specialist will help develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across a variety of channels to increase sales, brand awareness, and a social media following. Duties include researching market trends and compiling reports about consumer needs, creating marketing campaign content like graphics, blog posts or social media posts and assisting in executing marketing events for a corporation. This role is essential for driving engagement, brand promotion, and facilitating effective communication efforts both internally and externally.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages all aspects of the marketing effort to include corporate branding both internally and externally.
Manages account-specific marketing performance indicators to include pay per click advertising (PPC), content marketing, social media marketing (SMM), and email marketing.
Conducts research to analyze competitive landscape, market trends and customer behavior; Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
Supports the Director of Sales and Marketing in establishing and evaluating marketing strategies by analyzing and assembling sales forecasts, updating calendars and organizing and planning promotional presentations.
Communicates campaign deliverables, objectives and timelines to the team while providing instructions for promotion or use.
Plans and manages trade shows, conferences, events and meetings by identifying, coordinating and assembling requirements, developing assignments and schedules, coordinating mailing lists and establishing contacts.
Maintains inventory and directory of sales support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current; Coordinates new material creation as needed.
Continually researches new sources of prospective customers while providing recommendations to sales and marketing leadership.
Manages radio campaigns and media series content creation and filming
Collects data on consumers, competitors and marketplace; Consolidates information into actionable items, reports and presentations.
Tracks marketing and sales trends, analyzes data, and reports on relevant insights monthly. Evaluates in-store, digital, and shopper-marketing promotions to create more effective product promotions in the future.
Responsible for managing special projects to include corporate event planning such as Family Day, Christmas Party, New Year’s Eve Egg Drop, and community outreach programs.
Assists in the creation of memos, press releases, newsletters, and other documents for internal and external communication.
Collects and verifies content or information to be included in corporate communications; Researches targeted audience and suggests effective communication channels. Creates and maintains media and distribution lists.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or equivalent
Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
High level of experience & understanding of social media which includes LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
Ability to multi-task as he/she will be expected to work on multiple engagements/initiatives simultaneously
Strong understanding and command of the English language including written, analytical and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft products to include Excel and PowerPoint
Language Ability:
Excellent communication both written and verbal. Ability to read and analyze periodicals, business reports, correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, team members and the public. The individual must possess strong skills in grammar and proofreading.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to collect data, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to maintain a professional and positive image in any situation using good judgment.
Computer Skills:
Ability to use office software, including Word processing, spreadsheets, databases, slide presentations, internet browsers, e-mail, and business systems software.
