Changing the world, one child at a time
For over 20+ years, C4K has provided children a nurturing, faith-based environment. From humble beginnings in Johnson City, we’ve expanded to multiple locations, serving hundreds of children daily. We believe in love and support for every child, regardless of circumstances. Our programs focus on moral character, spiritual foundations, physical health, and mental confidence. Through various activities, we empower each child to reach their full potential.
Our Partnership
This January, we’re launching a nearly two-year campaign with Food City to support C4K’s mission - donating 10¢ per dozen eggs sold, aiming to raise over $200,000, which will give 300+ kids daily access to tutoring, enrichment, and a safe, nurturing place after school.
Here’s why it matters: 70% of U.S. children can’t read at grade level. If a child isn’t reading proficiently by third grade, they are 25x more likely to go to jail and 22x more likely to struggle with addiction.
Winning Recipe
Our favorite way to enjoy the C4K Cage Free Eggs is the winning "Monte Cristo" Recipe created by Nate Campbell, Food City Culinary Trainer.
French Toast Hot Ham & Cheese (Breakfast Monte Cristo)
INGREDIENTS:
2 Slices Brioche Bread
¼ c. Heavy Cream
1 egg
Cinnamon
2.5oz Maple Honey Ham (Sliced thin)
1.5oz Mild Cheddar Cheese
1.5oz Baby Swiss Cheese
1.5 oz Maple Syrup
Vanilla
PREPARATION:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Preheat grill, griddle, or stove to medium-low heat.
Combine heavy cream, egg, 1oz of maple syrup, a splash of vanilla, and a dash of cinnamon into a bowl and whisk until combined.
Portion your ham and cheese (for ease of assembly).
Place portioned ham in a pan and toss it into the oven for a few minutes, until the ham is hot.
Place the 2 slices of brioche bread in egg mixture for a few seconds to allow bread to soak up the mixture.
Butter or lightly oil the cooking surface and place bread slices on the cooking surface and begin to cook (45seconds-2 mins per side).
Once the first side is flipped, add your slices of cheese and top it with your hot ham.
While the other side is cooking, place the remaining .5oz of maple syrup in a serving bowl for dipping.
Once the next side is cooked/browned to your liking- place it on top of your ham to create your sandwich.
Plate sandwich by cutting on an angle and dusting with powdered sugar.
