Braswell Family Farms Celebrates Family Day by Giving Back

Braswell Family Farms celebrated our annual Family Day on Saturday, October 19 with a company-wide event at Hill Ridge Farms where local hurricane relief organizations were presented with donations.

“Braswell Family Farms is a gift from the Lord, it’s His business, that we have the great responsibility to be good stewards of,” said Trey Braswell, president of Braswell Family Farms. “We are humbled to have the opportunity to use the excess from His business to share with organizations that are doing meaningful work to get families back in their homes in the wake of devastating storms.  It’s because of God’s blessing and the hard work of each and every teammate at Braswell Family Farms that we have resources to give.  We are so grateful for our folks and their dedication.”

Braswell Family Farms is one of the leading employers in Nash County and we give all the glory to God and credits the dedication of their employees for the success of the company. As a part of our mission, we are honored to be able to serve the Eastern North Carolina community through gifts to organizations focused on recovery from recent hurricanes that impacted the area. Checks were presented to Baptist Men Disaster Relief, One Harbor Church Disaster Relief, United Methodist Church, Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity and Wilmington Area Rebuild Ministry (WARM) to continue the important work of rebuilding.

A majority of our employees were present at Family Day and heard first-hand of the donations to the organizations as a result of their hard work. In addition to the encouraging announcement, our family of employees enjoyed a cornhole tournament, train rides and other attractions at Hill Ridge Farms, and finished it off with a delicious family meal. In the days leading up to Family Day, our employees showed the true spirit and jubilation of working at Braswell Family Farms through our second annual Spirit Week. Employees at each location of our company dressed up in their most festive attire for Tacky Day, Team Day, and Chicken or Egg Day.
